What Are Orders?

An order is the central unit of work in Sealbound. It represents a batch of certificates that you want to issue to a set of recipients.

How Orders Work

  1. Create an order with a name and description
  2. Add groups to organize your recipients
  3. Add recipients to each group (manually or via CSV)
  4. Choose templates for each group
  5. Issue the order to generate and send certificates

Order Structure

Each order can contain multiple groups. Each group has its own certificate template and set of recipients. This allows you to issue different certificate designs within a single order.

For example, an order called "Annual Conference 2026" might have:

  • A group for speakers with a speaker certificate template
  • A group for attendees with an attendance certificate template
  • A group for award winners with a special award template

Blockchain Encoding

When creating an order, you can choose whether to encode certificates on the blockchain. Blockchain-encoded certificates are permanently recorded and can be independently verified by anyone.
